Calligraphy work is on view at San Francisco Main Library, 6th Floor.
Don’t miss this exhibit if you are curious about calligraphy. Since 1975 and every three years since, the Bay Area calligraphy Friends of Calligraphy guild members have displayed their work and invite the public to come, enjoy, and learn. My partner Lance and I walked through the exhibit and captured some images to share with you!
Scroll through, check out the captions with each artist’s name and title of their work, and zoom in to explore the message up close; my own entry is at the very end.

The ceiling spotlights made it tricky to capture all the pieces; these represent about a quarter of the work on display. Visit in person. There is so much passion and creative effort behind the work that it should be examined closely. I’m attaching the Saturday programs again. Hope you can get there and meet some folks offering hands-on demos. While there you can also pick up a complete description of the artists’ info and description of their pieces.
Our “second voice” is alive and well!
